Alonso serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of Hudson Regional Health, New Jersey’s fast-growing health care network. Alonso is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals, ensuring sustainable growth and enhanced patient care. As the CSO, Alonso works closely with the executive team to identify new opportunities, optimize operational efficiencies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Providing guidance on public policy, real estate, operations, public relations, marketing, and payer strategies.
In 2017, Alonso served as Political Director for the Murphy/Oliver Gubernatorial Transition in 2017, and subsequently served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Murphy until June 2018. Alonso then departed his government to serve as senior advisor to the NJ Democratic Party and guided it to several historic victories. In addition to his New Jersey government service, Alonso served as New York State Senator Jose Peralta’s chief of staff and chief fundraiser from 2010 to 2012.
Alonso founded Xenia Holdings as a platform to invest in startups and operating businesses in areas where he can provide both capital and strategic growth support. Alonso is the Chair of Hospitality Partners which operates restaurants and bars, provides food and beverage facility management, and curates private and public events.
Alonso graduated with high honors from Drew University in 2006. While at Drew, Alonso served as President of the Student Government, Chair of the Future of Drew Commission, and a Member of the Presidential and Provost Search Committees. Alonso serves on the Board of Trustees of CarePoint Health Inc.
