At Hudson Regional Hospital, we are vigilant about our wound care program. Our hospital actively participates in nationally recognized improvement collaborative projects. We’ve partnered with Healogics to bring people, processes, and technology to our patients. Healogics drives world-class care on a national level through their Wound Care Centers®
Implementing the Patient Care Process improves how the Wound Care Centers operate, ensuring each of our Centers provides the same high level of care to our patients and efficiency to our hospital partners.
The patients who come to the Healogics Wound Care Center at Hudson Regional Hospital will receive:
• Decreased patient waiting time
• Improved outcomes in healing and treatment completion rates
• Dedicated nurse navigator
We are participating in the States Targeting Reduction in Infection Via Engagement Initiative, also known as STRIVE, in collaboration with the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) of the American Hospital Association, to reduce the risk of Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI), Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), Clostridium difficile (CDI) infections, and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infections.
Hudson Regional Hospital is also participating in the New Jersey Hospital Association Antibiotic Stewardship collaborative to improve antimicrobial use to reduce the threats of multidrug-resistant bacteria. We are pleased to announce our use of a UV antibacterial system to disinfect the air and surfaces in our patient rooms, treatment areas, and operating rooms.
