Ribbon Cuttings Announced for Newly Named and Renovated Hospital Facilities
Secaucus, NJ — September 15, 2025— Upholding its bold commitment to elevate healthcare across Hudson County, Hudson Regional Health (HRH)—the largest healthcare network in Hudson County and fastest-growing in New Jersey—will unveil its $75M-$100M plan for its newly branded hospital facilities in Bayonne, Hoboken, Jersey City, and Secaucus. Each location is undergoing transformative upgrades in services, technology, and infrastructure, setting a new benchmark for regional care delivery.
Each hospital will debut its new name as part of Hudson Regional Health’s unified network identity:
- Bayonne University Hospital (formerly Bayonne Medical Center)
- The Heights University Hospital in Jersey City (formerly Christ Hospital)
- Hoboken University Hospital (formerly Hoboken University Medical Center)
- Secaucus University Hospital (formerly Hudson Regional Hospital)
Hudson Regional Health has already made significant strides in revitalizing care delivery and expanding services across its network. Since the acquisition, HRH has reopened critical service lines at each location to meet community needs, made substantial investments in modern infrastructure, advanced medical technologies, and state-of-the-art equipment, and has additional projects underway to further enhance patient care and access throughout Hudson County.

- Jersey City: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (STEMI and Neuro), Sleep Center
- Hoboken: Infusion Center, Robotic Surgery
- Bayonne: Radiation Oncology
- Mobile Health Clinic: Launched to address critical community health needs

- Bayonne: Intuitive Da Vinci robotic surgical system, Medtronic Mazor Stealth spinal navigation with O-Arm, Stryker Mako Orthopedic surgical robot, Dialysis Equipment, upgraded Cath Lab
- Systemwide: Critical infrastructure repairs including HVAC, fire systems, and radiology equipment
Teaching & Academic Healthcare Leadership
Hudson Regional Health is also expanding its role as a regional leader in academic healthcare. Hoboken and Jersey City hospitals are already university-affiliated teaching hospitals, and Secaucus and Bayonne are on track to earn the same designation, ensuring best-in-class education and mentorship by top-tier medical professionals.
A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and press conference will be held in Bayonne on Monday, September 15th and attendees include state and local officials including Hudson County Executive Craig Guy, the mayors of Bayonne, Jersey City and Hoboken, and other state and local dignitaries. A representative from U.S. Congressman Menendez’s office will present Hudson Regional Health with a Certificate of Recognition, honoring its commitment to providing advanced, quality healthcare throughout Hudson County.
