Bio
Harshpal Singh M.D. is a board-certified neurosurgeon and received his bachelor’s degree with high honors from the University of Georgia. After completing medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, he completed his neurosurgical training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where his main focus of research was the minimally invasive treatment of spinal tumors. While at Mount Sinai Medical Center, he completed a one-year fellowship in neuro-radiology. Dr. Singh then completed a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery at the University of Miami, home of the world-renowned Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. While at the university, he focused on the treatment of spinal cord injury, severe spinal trauma, and complex cervical spine deformity. He also focused his clinical research on the study of spinal fusion and complex revision spinal surgery.
Dr. Singh has been published in several peer-reviewed journals on numerous topics that reflect his interest in the treatment of spinal trauma, spinal degenerative disorders, deformity, and spinal tumors. He has authored a number of textbook chapters including critical care management of subarachnoid hemorrhage and cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Dr. Singh also maintains a strong interest in neurological head trauma and general neurosurgery. He is a member of numerous professional societies including American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Joint Sections of Spine and Peripheral Nerve of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
