HRH Foundation Supports Local Students Through Back-to-School Drives

The Hudson Regional Health Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Hudson Regional Health (HRH), recently hosted back-to-school events in Bayonne, Hoboken and Secaucus, providing backpacks and school supplies to support more than 500 local children as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

The donation drives, held in coordination with local elected officials and nonprofit organizations, are an expansion of the HRH Foundation’s efforts to strengthen the health and well-being of the communities served by Hudson Regional Health.

“As Hudson Regional Health expands, so too do the charitable endeavors of our Foundation,” said HRH CEO and President Dr. Nizar Kifaieh. “We are proud to support our local youth and nonprofit organizations in their work to uplift communities across Hudson County, and we appreciate the opportunity to do so alongside our elected officials who share in that mission.”

The HRH Foundation’s latest back-to-school drive took place at Bayonne University Hospital, where the Foundation partnered with the Bayonne Police Athletic League, a local nonprofit organization serving Bayonne youth, to provide backpacks and school supplies to children attending its summer camp. Mayor Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski, along with Councilmembers Miriam Salama, Gene Perry and Mark Bottino, joined HRH to hand out backpacks and supplies and wish the kids well as they head back to school.

In Hoboken, the Foundation hosted a back-to-school drive at Hoboken University Hospital in partnership with Community Lifestyle, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting families in Hoboken, alongside Council President Ruben Ramos.

The Foundation also held a back-to-school donation drive at Secaucus University Hospital in partnership with Mayor Mike Gonnelli, attended by Councilman John Gerbasio and Councilwoman Orietta Tringali.

Additionally, the Foundation donated backpacks and supplies to the non-profit Latin Social Organization for its haircut and book drive in Bayonne.
