HRH’s Dr. Nizar Kifaieh Receives Top Leaders Award From Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation

Dr. Nizar Kifaieh, President and CEO of Hudson Regional Health, was recognized yesterday as a recipient of the 2026 Top Leaders Award from the Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation, honoring his exemplary leadership and commitment to expanding access to care for communities across Hudson County and New Jersey.

The Global Healthcare Leaders Foundation recognizes leaders in healthcare whose work has made a meaningful contribution to their organizations, patients and communities. The Top Leaders Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated leadership and impact within healthcare.

About Nizar Kifaieh, MD, MBA, CPE, FACEP

Dr. Nizar Kifaieh serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hudson Regional Health. A board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and experienced healthcare executive, Dr. Kifaieh leads the system’s patient-first strategy, with a focus on quality, access, patient experience and clinical integration.

Since joining Hudson Regional Health in 2018, Dr. Kifaieh has helped guide the organization’s growth into an expanding regional healthcare network serving Hudson County. With an innovative, community-focused approach to healthcare, he spearheaded the development of the system’s nationally renowned Institute for Robotic Surgery and has overseen significant investments in state-of-the-art infrastructure, technology and clinical capabilities designed to enhance patient care.

Dr. Kifaieh previously held senior executive leadership roles within the system, including Executive Vice President, System Chief Medical Officer and Chief Clinical Integration Officer. He also served as President, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer at Christ Hospital.

Dr. Kifaieh earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed his Emergency Medicine training at SUNY Downstate and Kings County Hospital. He also holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
