Our Mission

Preparing Physician Leaders
in Hudson County

Hudson Regional Health offers residency and fellowship programs across Bayonne, Hoboken, and Secaucus. Our mission is to train the next generation of physicians who will become leaders in healthcare — delivering compassionate, comprehensive, and quality care to our communities.

Residents train in urban settings with a highly diverse patient population, gaining real-world, hands-on experience that prepares them for the complexities of healthcare delivery today. Graduates go on to fellowships, primary care, and hospitalist positions around the country.

Internal Medicine Residency

Residency
Program Overview3-year ACGME-accredited categorical program. Residents rotate through inpatient wards, ICU, ambulatory clinic, and subspecialty electives, building a strong foundation in general internal medicine and preparation for fellowship or hospitalist practice.

General Surgery Residency

Residency
Program Overview5-year categorical program covering the full breadth of general surgery, including trauma, minimally invasive, and critical care rotations, with progressive resident autonomy each year.

Orthopedic Surgery Residency

Residency
Program Overview5-year program offering training across trauma, joint reconstruction, sports medicine, and spine, with hands-on operative experience beginning in year one.

Transitional Year Program

Residency
Program Overview1-year program providing broad clinical exposure across medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine for residents pursuing radiology, anesthesiology, dermatology, and other specialties requiring a preliminary year.

Gastroenterology Fellowship

Fellowship
Program Overview3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship with comprehensive training in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, and inpatient/outpatient GI consultation.
