Today, Hudson Regional Health was joined by Bayonne Mayor Sharon-Ashe Nadrowski and members of the Bayonne City Council to celebrate the grand opening of Bayonne University Hospital’s new Sleep Center. The brand-new service line will expand access to comprehensive sleep diagnostic and treatment services for residents in Bayonne and throughout Hudson County with state-of-the-art, advanced sleep testing technology, and board-certified sleep medicine physicians and sleep technicians.
The Sleep Center features fully accommodated, private sleep rooms where patients undergo overnight studies to monitor sleep cycles with the recording of brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, and breathing during sleeping. It includes state-of-the-art, comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to accurately identify the cause of sleep disorders in a comfortable, hotel-like environment.
“Bayonne University Hospital’s new Sleep Center represents the latest milestone in Hudson Regional Health’s ongoing transformation of Bayonne University Hospital,” said HRH Chairman Yan Moshe. “We are making unprecedented investments in our facilities, expanding access to specialized care, and delivering on our long-term commitment to the health and well-being of the Bayonne community.”
“We’re making it easier for Hudson County residents – especially those in Bayonne – to receive timely diagnoses and personalized treatment close to home, a key priority for Hudson Regional Health,” said HRH CEO and President Dr. Nizar Kifaieh. “We know this new service will be a tremendous asset to the community, and we’re grateful to Mayor Nadrowski and the City Council for joining us to celebrate this important occasion.”
In addition to cutting the ribbon on the new Sleep Center, Mayor Nadrowski, Bayonne Council President Council President Melissa Godesky-Rodriguez, and Councilmembers Tommy Gillen, Gene Perry and Mark Bottino were provided a tour of the new fourth floor patient rooms and nursing stations that were recently opened to the public, as well as other upgrades at the hospital.
“The opening of Bayonne University Hospital’s Sleep Center is another important milestone that brings specialized, state-of-the-art care closer to home for both adults and children here in Bayonne,” said Mayor Nadrowski. “On behalf of the City, thank you to Hudson Regional Health for your continued investment in Bayonne’s public health infrastructure, and your commitment to expanding access to healthcare.”
