Bio
Dr. Meron Debesai is a Gastroenterologist who specializes in colon cancer screening and prevention, diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract, irritable bowel disease, (IBD), and hepatitis. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and went on to a Master of Science degree from Mississippi College. Dr. Debesai received his medical degree from Saint George’s University and completed internal medicine training and a gastroenterology fellowship at South Brooklyn Health. He enjoys the procedural nature of the specialty in performing routine upper endoscopies and colonoscopies to more advanced procedures such as Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Cholangioscopy and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR). Dr. Debesai believes that diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal diseases is rewarding and multifaceted but requires a partnership with the patients for it to be successful
