Bio
Dr. Joel Alcid is a general hematologist oncologist in private practice at Astera Cancer Care in Rutherford, NJ. He sees a broad variety of hematology (benign and malignant) along with all types of solid tumors. “I knew since my first year of medical school that I wanted to pursue a career in hematology and oncology. I am truly honored and consider it a privilege to help patients during this most difficult time in their lives. The most important aspect for me is definitely the patient interactions and lifelong relationships that I am able to build as a cancer specialist. Providing support, compassion and hope for my patients throughout their cancer journey is what I strive for. I look forward to being there every step of the way and providing the best care that I can.”
