Bio

Dr. Randazzo is both a board-certified neurosurgeon and neuroendovascular specialist. He earned a degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University in 1997 and went on to attend the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. There, he completed both the MPH and MD programs in 1999 and 2003, respectively. Dr. Randazzo completed his neurosurgery residency and neuroendovascular fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2009 and 2010.

Dr. Randazzo is one of the few neurosurgeons dually trained in open neurological surgery and neuroendovascular treatments. His focus is equally balanced between treating aneurysms, general neurosurgery, neuroendovascular procedures, spinal cord injuries and cranial and spinal tumor surgeries.

He has also had several published works detailing current trends and breakthroughs on neurological issues. One such publication where his work has been featured is the world-renowned journal Stroke. In particular, Dr. Randazzo’s written work has focused on the treatment of intracranial aneurysms using coiling, flow diversion and the Pipeline Embolization Device™. He also offers presentations highlighting new methods for treating neurological, spinal and endovascular conditions.

Dr. Randazzo is an active member of several national societies and local groups such as the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Medical and Neurosurgical Societies. Combining both his passion for practicing medicine and an entrepreneurial spirit, he spearheaded the establishment of a comprehensive neuroscience center at Atlanticare for which he served as Division Director. He most recently held the position of Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.
