Hudson Regional Health (HRH) will recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October with a series of breast cancer screening opportunities and community awareness events at its facilities in Secaucus, Hoboken and Bayonne.
As part of its 11th Annual Mammogram-A-Thon, HRH will offer weekday and weekend breast cancer screening dates available to all members of the community throughout October at Bayonne University Hospital and Hoboken University Hospital.
Bayonne University Hospital will offer breast cancer screenings Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday, October 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Hoboken University Hospital will offer breast cancer screenings on October 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturday, October 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Walk-ins are welcome, with registration also available by calling 201-392-3278. All major insurance plans will be accepted. Uninsured patients may also qualify for free screenings through the Madeline Fiadini LoRe Foundation. A self-pay option is available for $90 during October. No referral is needed for patients who have not received a screening mammogram within the previous 12 months, and prescriptions can be provided when necessary.
Breast Cancer Awareness Brunches
In addition to the Mammogram-A-Thon, HRH will host three Breast Cancer Awareness Brunches, to highlight breast cancer awareness and education:
Secaucus University Hospital: Sunday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Bayonne University Hospital: Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Hoboken University Hospital: Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
