Hudson Regional Hospital is vigilant in our wound care program. Our hospital is actively participating in nationally recognized improvement collaborative projects. Currently we are participating in the States Targeting Reduction in Infection Via Engagement initiative or STRIVE collaborative with the Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) of the American Hospital Association to reduce the risk of Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI), Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), Clostridium difficile (CDI) infections, and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infections.
Hudson Regional Hospital is also participating in the New Jersey Hospital Association Antibiotic Stewardship collaborative to improve antimicrobial use to reduce the threats of multidrug-resistant bacteria. We are also pleased to announce our use of a UV antibacterial system to disinfect the air and surfaces in our patient rooms, treatment areas, and operating rooms.
