He has over 22 years of experience in health care working from a nursing assistant, combat medical in US Army, ICU nurse to pain management physician.
Dr. Abbatematteo graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent over 10 years working as an ICU nurse. After growing interest in finding methods to treat pain, Dr. Abbatematteo enrolled in medical school. He graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia. After an internship at Roger Williams Hospital in Rhode Island, Dr. Abbatematteo completed his Anesthesia residency at Montefiore/Einstein in the Bronx, NY. He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at Beth Israel in Manhattan.
Dr. Abbatematteo explores all possible avenues and will do his utmost to do the necessary safe steps to maximize your pain relief.
